Hi! I’m Catherine, the hands and heart behind Built to Roam Designs.

What began at a young age with the creation of a tiny pair of beaded earrings, sparked a lifelong obsession. Now, I’ve officially been creating jewelry for longer than I haven’t… it’s been a constant in my life. It’s helped me find purpose, express myself in ways I never thought possible, and discover moments of healing along the way.

Today, I craft each piece using an ancient wire wrapping technique called cold-forging, which turns wire into sculptural, one-of-a-kind jewelry that’s built to last for generations. The creation of each piece involves a little engineering, a ton of finesse (my favorite word 🤭), and plenty of experimentation.

I love pushing the limits of wire to create jewelry that stands out without saying a word, celebrates individuality, and makes a statement through artistry, not volume.
